Surf Protection

A powerful web content filtering system is an optional component of the integrated perimeter security solution from Astaro. With Surf Protection enabled, the Astaro firewall will block all objectionable web pages before they hit the internal network.

The content filtering package is purchased separately from the standard Astaro software license and security appliances. The module installs directly onto the existing firewall system.

Web crawlers examine and catalog internet page in extraordinary detail, counting word occurrences, translating embedded image text and measuring overall level of flesh-type coloring. The central database is updated continuously, ensuring that the Astaro provides maximum filtering intelligence.

Administrators can select from a wide range of web content categories and define multiple user groups with specific access privileges. They can also analyze and interpret internet surfing activities using the Astaro’s robust reporting facilities.
